Scott Sanders, Creative Battery, Roy Furman and Quincy Jones have brought to the musical stage an adaptation of the novel "The Color Purple" and its Academy Award nominated film version. Previously seen in its world premiere production at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, The Color Purple stars Broadway veteran La Chanze (Once On This Island, Dessa Rose).
