Marc Kudisch, who received a Tony nomination for his performance as Baron Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, will take a leave of absence from that car-centric musical to star in the Public Theater's upcoming production of See What I Wanna See.

According to a production spokesperson, Kudisch will play his final performance in Chitty Sept. 23 and will return to the show on Nov. 30. During his absence, his role will be played by Kenneth Kantor, who currently stars as Chitty's Lord Scrumptious. While Kantor is playing Bomburst, ensemble member Kurt von Schmittou will play Lord Scrumptious.

Marc Kudisch received Tony nominations for his work in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Thoroughly Modern Millie. His other Broadway outings include Assassins, Bells Are Ringing, The Wild Party, The Scarlet Pimpernel, High Society, Beauty and the Beast and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Kudisch's television credits include "Bye, Bye Birdie," "Sex and the City" and "Loving."

Bronx native Kenneth Kantor has been seen on Broadway in The Grand Tour, Brigadoon, Mame, Me and My Girl, The Phantom of the Opera, Guys and Dolls and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He has also performed in several Shakespeare festivals and regional theatres around the country.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang plays the Hilton Theatre on West 42nd Street. Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at (212) 307-4100 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com. For more information visit Click Here.
