Ernie Sabella will return to the role of dance hall boss Herman in Broadway's Sweet Charity beginning Nov. 22, at the end of Wayne Knight's scheduled run.

Sabella, a veteran of such musicals as Guys and Dolls, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Man of La Mancha and Chicago, originated the role of Herman in the current production of the Neil Simon-Dorothy Fields-Cy Coleman show, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Wayne Knight ("Seinfeld") will play his final performance, as scheduled, on Nov. 20.

Sweet Charity stars Emmy Award winner Christina Applegate as Charity and Tony Award winner Denis O'Hare as Oscar, with Mylinda Hull as Nickie, Kearran Giovanni as Helene and Paul Schoeffler as Vittorio.

Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago) directs and Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento (The Who's Tommy, Wicked) choreographs.
