Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters hosts a television special highlighting memorable moments from the "Evening at Pops" telecasts.

The program airs in the metropolitan area on WNET/Thirteen Nov. 24 at 8 PM. The telecast will include performances by Peters, Ethel Merman, Carol Channing and Tommy Tune, among others. TV viewers can expect to hear Peters' rendition of "Broadway Baby," Channing's "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and a Merman Broadway medley.

Additional broadcasts are scheduled for Nov. 26 at 1 AM and Nov. 27 at 12:30 PM. Check local listings.

"Evening at Pops" is one of the longest-running programs on PBS. The evenings, which are taped live at Boston's Symphony Hall, began airing in 1970. Among the hundreds of guests who have graced the series are Barbara Cook, Kristin Chenoweth, Marin Mazzie, Faith Prince, John Barrowman, Eubie Blake, Pearl Bailey, Tony Randall, Ben Vereen, Henry Mancini, Cleo Laine, Nell Carter, Marvin Hamlisch, Mandy Patinkin, Kitty Carlisle Hart, Tyne Daly, Colm Wilkinson, Marilyn Cooper, Raquel Welch, Elaine Paige, Audra McDonald, Nathan Lane, Patti LuPone, Lillias White, Rebecca Luker and Mary Testa.

Bernadette Peters was last on Broadway in the acclaimed revival of Gypsy, for which she received a 2003 Tony Award nomination for her performance as Momma Rose in the Sam Mendes-directed production. She won her two Tonys for her performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song & Dance and Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun, and she has also starred on Broadway in Mack & Mabel, On the Town, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the original production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods.
