Tickets to Broadway's Threepenny Opera Go On Public Sale Jan. 15; Visa Pre-Sale Available Now

Tickets to the upcoming Roundabout Theatre Company production of The Threepenny Opera with Alan Cumming, Jim Dale, Cyndi Lauper, Ana Gasteyer and Nellie McKay will go on sale to the public Jan. 15. Visa Signature® cardholders can enjoy pre-sale now.
The box office for The Threepenny Opera opens Jan. 15 at Broadway's Studio 54, located at 254 West 54th St. Tickets will also be available by calling Roundabout Ticket Services at (212) 719-1300 or online at www.roundabouttheatre.org — both purchase points now offer an exclusive pre-sale to Visa Signature® cardholders.
Scott Elliott (Hurlyburly, The Women) will direct the Roundabout Theatre Company commission, translated and adapted by Wallace Shawn, which will begin performances March 24 and open April 20 at Studio 54.
Pop songstress Cyndi Lauper recently joined the cast featuring Alan Cumming (Cabaret, Design for Living), singer Nellie McKay, Jim Dale (Barnum, Joe Egg) and Ana Gasteyer (Wicked, The Rocky Horror Show) in the work based on the original Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill classic musical Die Dreigroschenoper.
Set in London in the 1800s, the The Threepenny Opera concerns a notorious bandit who marries a girl, much to the chagrin of her father. The peeved patriarch does everything in his power to imprison his son-in-law in this political and social satire.
The design team for The Threepenny Opera features Derek McLane (sets), Isaac Mizrahi (costumes) and Jason Lyons (lights). Kevin Stites serves as the music director.
Fashion personality Mizrahi previously collaborated with director Elliott on the Roundabout's revival of The Women for his Broadway debut. He will again join the stage director for his upcoming Broadway revival of Barefoot in the Park.
