Phantom Celebrated on Jan. 29 “Breakfast with the Arts"

By Andrew Gans
24 Jan 2006

“Breakfast with the Arts,” the Sunday-morning entertainment program on the A&E Network, will pay tribute to what is now the longest-running show in Broadway history, The Phantom of the Opera.

The two-hour program on Jan. 29 will feature interviews with Phantom composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, producer Cameron Mackintosh, director Hal Prince, choreographer Gillian Lynne and the musical's original star, Tony Award winner Michael Crawford. Phantom, which continues to play Broadway's Majestic Theatre, became the longest-running show on Jan. 9.

The A&E chat show will also feature segments about Barenaked Ladies, Bryan Adams, author John Berendt, the Juilliard School's centennial celebration and Oscar-winning animator Nick Park.

"Breakfast with the Arts" airs from 8-10 AM ET on A&E. Karina Huber hosts. Check local listings or visit www.aetv.com for more information.
