Euan Morton, who made his Broadway debut playing Boy George (aka George O'Dowd) in Taboo, has recorded two songs by that famed composer-performer on his forthcoming CD "NewClear."

Morton's versions of Kevan Frost and George O'Dowd's "Pie in the Sky" and Michael Craig, Roy Hay, Jonathan Moss and O'Dowd's "Victims" can be heard on his debut solo album, which is set to hit stores March 21. The ten-track disc, which will be released on the Lyric Partners label, also features "NewClear" (Mark Underwood), "Closer and Closer" (Chris Judge and Greg Friel), "Chelsea Hotel" (Dan Bern), "Good Time Gone Bad" (David Nehls), "Hallelujah" (Leonard Cohen), "At This Moment" (William P. McCord) and "As It Began (a Lullaby)" (Mark Underwood).

As previously reported, Morton will celebrate the release of "NewClear" with several concerts at Joe’s Pub. The singing actor is scheduled to play the intimate cabaret, located within the Public Theater, on March 20 at 9:30 PM and April 3 at 7 and 9:30 PM.

Morton’s band comprises David Nehls (keyboards), David Matos (lead guitar), Paul Ranieri (bass), Damien Bassman (drums and percussion) and David Mann (saxophone).

Joe’s Pub is located within the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Avenue. Tickets, priced at $25, are available by calling (212) 239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com.
