PHOTO CALL: Sidd Brings Spirtual Enlightenment to Off-Broadway

By Morgan Allen
18 Mar 2006

Andrew Frank and Fran Kirmser Sharma.

The soon to be renamed Dodger Stages was awash in spirtual enlightenment on March 15 as Sidd, a new musical based on Herman Hesse's famed novel "Siddartha", celebrated its opening night.

Always On the Way and Fran Kirmser Sharma are presenting the show which, according to production notes, "chronicles the extraordinary journey of a man's life from his youthful wanderings in his home village, through his many years living amidst the glamour, jazz and corruption of the city, his encounter with Buddha and, ultimately, his enlightenment that follows."

At left, book writer, lyricist and director Andrew Frank and choreographer-producer Sharma are seen after the show. Below, cast members Manu Narayan, Marie-France Arcilla, Natalie Cortez, Arthur W. Marks, Nicole Lewis, Gerry McIntyre and Dann Fink revel in the festivities at the opening night party for Sidd in the Dodger Stages lobby on West 50th Street in New York City.
