Cabaret at the Chase, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center's cabaret series in the Chase Room, will offer a host of theatre and cabaret favorites during the 2006-2007 season.

Cabaret veteran Andrea Marcovicci will kick off the season, performing her tribute to the songs made famous by Fred Astaire. Andrea Sings Astaire is scheduled for Oct. 28 at 7 and 9:30 PM.

Theatre couple Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley will bring their acclaimed concert act, Opposite You, to the Chase on Dec. 2 at 7 and 9 PM. Mazzie is a three-time Tony Award nominee for her performances in Kiss Me, Kate; Ragtime; and Passion, while Danieley's Main Stem credits include The Fully Monty and Candide.

Mary Cleere Haran, described by The New York Times as "the most literate chanteuse of her generation," will perform at the New Jersey venue Jan. 27, 2007, at 7 and 9:30 PM. Haran will offer Lullaby of Broadway: The Harry Warren Songbook, which features such tunes as "Jeepers Creepers," "On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe," "I Had the Craziest Dream" and "An Affair to Remember."

Eric Michael Gillett, the former Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus Ringmaster whose Broadway credits include Sweet Swell of Success, The Frogs and Kiss Me, Kate, will play the Chase Feb. 10 at 7 and 9:30 PM. Gillett's show, titled Hook, Line & Singer, features top 40 pop hits from the sixties to the nineties, including tunes made famous by Joni Mitchell, the Carpenters and Donna Summer.

Former Mamma Mia! star Karen Mason will offer her newest act, Timeless, March 31 at 7 and 9:30 PM. Mason has also been seen on Broadway in Sunset Boulevard and Jerome Robbins' Broadway, and she recently released a new CD titled "The Sweetest of Nights."

The Cabaret at the Chase season will conclude with Christine Ebersole, currently starring Off-Broadway in the hit new musical Grey Gardens. Ebersole will perform In Your Dreams, which includes such classic tunes as "Lullaby of Broadway," "You're Getting to Be a Habit with Me" and "We're in the Money." Ebersole will perform May 19 at 7 and 9:30 PM.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center is located in Newark, NJ, at One Center Street. For ticket information visit www.njpac.org.
