Three "One Life to Live" stars and former Broadway leading ladies — Hairspray's Kathy Brier and Kerry Butler and The Color Purple's Renée Elisa Goldsberry — will perform on the 33rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

A spokesperson for the daytime serial told Playbill.com that Brier, Butler and Goldsberry are currently working on their performance, which will most likely be a tune or two from the Broadway catalog. The Daytime Emmy Awards will air live from Hollywood's Kodak Theatre April 28 on ABC-TV, from 8-11 PM ET. This year's ceremony marks the first time the awards will be presented on the West Coast.

TV watchers will also have the chance to hear these women sing on "One Life to Live." Goldsberry will perform a song she wrote for Brier's character's wedding. The song, "We'll Love Through," will air May 4. Brier will lend her voice to Diane Warren's "When It's Real," which will be heard on the May 8 broadcast of "One Life to Live." And, Butler will also be heard on an upcoming telecast when her character, Claudia Reston, lands a job as a singer at a local club.

"One Life to Live" airs on ABC-TV, 2-3 PM ET; check local listings.

Kerry Butler was most recently on Broadway as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. She portrayed Penny Pingleton in the original Broadway cast of Hairspray, and her other Broadway credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Eponine in Les Misérables and Ms. Jones in Blood Brothers. Off-Broadway she was seen in Bat Boy The Musical, The "I" Word, Prodigal and The Folsom Head. She was also part of the cast of the new musical The Opposite of Sex, which premiered in San Francisco.

Emmy-nominated Kathy Brier currently plays Marci Walsh on TV's "One Life to Live." Her New York stage credits include Hairspray, Bat Boy and The Prince and the Pauper.

Renée Elise Goldsberry played Nettie in The Color Purple. She was also seen on Broadway as Nala in The Lion King, and she played Sylvia in the Public Theater's presentation of Two Gentlemen of Verona. She spent five years on "Ally McBeal" and was seen in the film "All About You." Goldsberry is Emmy-nominated this season for her work as Evangeline Williamson on "One Life to Live."
