The Broadway revival of Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park will play its final performance on Sunday May 21 at 3 PM, the producers announced April 11.

Directed by Scott Elliott and starring Amanda Peet, Patrick Wilson, Jill Clayburgh, and Tony Roberts, Barefoot in the Park began previews on Jan. 24 and officially opened Feb. 16. Upon closing, the production will have played 108 performances and 27 previews.

Barefoot in the Park expects to pay back approximately 50 percent of its initial investment by its closing date, according to a statement. Critics did not embrace the production, but producers call it "an audience favorite" that "always turned a weekly profit."

Discussions are currently ongoing about possible future productions and a national tour.

Simon's second play was inspired by his first marriage and tells the story of conservative young lawyer Paul Bratter (Patrick Wilson) and his free-spirited newlywed bride Corie (Amanda Peet) as they move "from the giddy joy of a honeymoon at The Plaza into the crazy reality of starting married life in a fifth-floor walkup in New York City."

Barefoot in the Park also features Adam Sietz and Sullivan Walker. The production has set design by Derek McLane, costume design by Isaac Mizrahi, lighting design by Jason Lyons, and sound design by Ken Travis.

Barefoot in the Park is being produced by Robyn Goodman, Roy Gabay, Walt Grossman, Geoff Rich, Danzansky Partners, Ergo Entertainment, Ruth Hendel, in association with Paramount Pictures.

Barefoot in the Park plays the following schedule at the Cort Theater (138 West 48th street): Tuesday–Saturday at 8 PM, Wednesday and Saturday at 2 PM, and Sunday at 3 PM. Tickets can be purchased by calling Tele-Charge at (212) 239-6200.
