Euan Morton to Sing and Sign at Tower Records May 24

Euan Morton, who made his Broadway debut in the Boy George musical Taboo, will celebrate the recent release of his debut solo recording with an in-store appearance at Tower Records.

On May 24 at 6 PM, Morton will be on hand perform a few songs from "NewClear," which was released in March on the Lyric Partners label. Morton will also greet fans and sign copies of the disc following his performance.

Two songs by Boy George (aka George O'Dowd) are featured on "NewClear," including Kevan Frost and O'Dowd's "Pie in the Sky" and Michael Craig, Roy Hay, Jonathan Moss and O'Dowd's "Victims." The ten-track disc, which will be released on the Lyric Partners label, also features "NewClear" (Mark Underwood), "Closer and Closer" (Chris Judge and Greg Friel), "Chelsea Hotel" (Dan Bern), "Good Time Gone Bad" (David Nehls), "Hallelujah" (Leonard Cohen), "At This Moment" (William P. McCord) and "As It Began (a Lullaby)" (Mark Underwood).

Euan Morton received an Olivier Award nomination for his performance in the London company of Taboo. His other theatre credits include Measure for Pleasure, Brundibar, Caligula, We Will Rock You, The Silent Treatment, The Matchstalk Man, The Sexual Life of the Camel, Empty Plate in the Café du Grand Boeuf and Approaching Zanzibar as well as the Actors' Fund of America's Hair concert. Taboo marked Morton's Broadway debut.

Tower Records is located in Manhattan at Broadway and 66th Street.
