Boys and Boys Rule: Clark, Butz, Spamalot Cast Present OCC Awards May 25

Broadway's Boys, both the History and Jersey ones, will be presented with their Outer Critics Circle Awards at the May 25 ceremony at New York City's Sardi's Restaurant.

The winners of 55th annual honors were made public May 14. The awards are decided upon by an group of writers "covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway."

Last year's Tony Award winners Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza) and Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Tarzan star Shuler Hensley, Spamalot's current stars Harry Groener, Martin Moran, Steve Kazee and Lauren Kennedy as well as Harvey Fierstein, Robert Cuccioli, Phyllis Newman, Glenn Loney and Marjorie Gunner will be presenters at the ceremony.

Outstanding Broadway Musical and Play went to Jersey Boys and The History Boys, respectively. The Drowsy Chaperone, Sweeney Todd and Grey Gardens were among shows with multiple awards.
