A Chorus Line's Heather Parcells Will Offer Should I Be Sweet? Solo Concert in NYC
07 Mar 2013
Heather Parcells, who played Judy Turner in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line, will make her solo cabaret debut with Should I Be Sweet? An Evening With Heather Parcells March 25 at Stage 72.
At the 7:30 PM concert, according to press notes, "Heather dives into an upbeat evening of music, comedy and self diagnosis. Putting her unique spin on an eclectic mix of songs from Sondheim to The Dixie Chicks, Heather embraces her personal idiosyncrasies while taking on material that befits a young woman becoming the leading lady of her own life."
Joe Langworth directs Should I Be Sweet?, with music direction by Richard Rockage.
Parcells has also been seen on Broadway in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Wonderland.
Stage 72 (formerly The Triad) is located at 158 West 72nd Street. There will be a $15 cover plus a two-drink minimum. For tickets, visit BrownPaperTickets.com. For more information, visit Stage72.com.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
