The engagement, presented by Abingdon Theatre Company, runs through March 13 in the June Havoc Theatre. An official opening night is scheduled for Feb. 25.

In A Room of My Own Messina recalls his childhood with his eccentric Italian-American family in Greenwich Village. Macchio plays Carl Morelli, who, according to press notes, is "a writer who reminisces about his adolescence and childhood dreams of the world outside his crowded downtown tenement. Wishing for his own room—and an Atari—young Carl shares the tiny studio in a five-flight crumbling walk-up apartment with his unemployed father, older sister, and strong-willed mother." Cantone portrays his flamboyant Uncle Jackie.

Completing the cast are Nico Bustamante, Kendra Jain, Johnny Tammaro, Joli Tribuzio and Liza Vann.

The production includes set design by Brian Dudkiewicz; costume design by Catherine Siracusa; lighting design by Mike Megliola; sound design by Ian Wehrle; and casting by Lori Malkin. Production stage manager is Deidre Works.

Tickets, priced $65, are available at Abingdontheatre.org or by calling (212) 352-3101. The June Havoc Theatre is located at 312 West 36th St.
