Created by rising theatrical songwriter Contreras ( All the Kids are Doing It, "Love Me, Love Me Not: The Music of Joey Contreras"), the series strives to present new material in a sleek, intimate format, à la MTV-style music videos.
"We are capturing stories with these songs," Contreras previously told Playbill.com. "I want the heart, the soul, the vulnerability, the nuances of these emotions expressed through each video, and I think we'll be able to catch that magic — especially with the talent we'll be working with!"
"Constellation," a single written by Contreras (Broadway Dreams Foundation's first Artist in Residence) for the Broadway Dreams Foundation, features Warren, Fankhauser, Redmond, Gregory Haney ( Bring It On), Eric Michael Krop ( Godspell), Madeline Trumble ( Mary Poppins) and a host of BDF students who were given the chance to record in a professional New York studio for the first time.
"As Artist in Residence, I am currently building a platform within the Broadway Dreams organization in which students can start to explore interests in songwriting," added Contreras.
Proceeds from the single "Constellation" go towards a scholarship for those pursuing an education in musical theatre writing. To download the single, click here.
