Broadway Sessions, the weekly musical theatre-themed evening created and hosted by Ben Cameron at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, honors Broadway actress Paige Davis July 26 at 11 PM.
Davis, who has been seen in the Broadway productions of Boeing-Boeing and Chicago, is relocating from New York to L.A. to host the new daily talk show "Home and Family" for the Hallmark Channel.
As a send-off, Broadway Sessions has dedicated the July 26 evening to performers and songs that Davis loves.
Scheduled performers include Ann Harada (Avenue Q), Felicia Finley (Mamma Mia!) and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark's Isabel Keating, Reeve Carney, Robert Cuccioli, Joey Taranto and Patrick Page (Davis' husband), among others.
The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located at 407 West 42nd Street. There is a $5 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. For more information, visit BroadwaySessions.net.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
