Marry Harry, which features a book by Jennifer Robbins, music by Dan Martin and lyrics by Michael Biello, will continue performances through July 28 under the direction of Kent Nicholson (world premiere of Saint Ex).
The cast includes Jenna Dallacco, Cameron Folmar ( 39 Steps), Golden ( Xanadu, Hair, The Full Monty, On The Town), Hoffman ( A Catered Affair, Fiddler on the Roof, Into the Woods, Falsettos), Rod Lawrence, Jillian Louis ( Flambé Dreams at NYMF), Kate Rigg (Off-Broadway's BFE), Robb Sapp ( Wicked), Jane Summerhays ( The Wild Party, Cabaret, A Chorus Line) and Katie Zaffrann.
Here's how the musical is billed: "Sparks fly when Harry, an aspiring chef trapped as cook at his dad's failing East Village restaurant, meets landlord Sherri, come to collect overdue rent after dumping her cheating fiancé. They fall madly in love, bonding over parental ties that choke and bind them, fast tracking to marriage – until everything implodes. With humor and heart, Marry Harry explores ideas about family loyalty, marriage, love and finding one's path in life."
The band includes Jeremy Clayton (reeds) and Vivian Israel (cello); Christopher McGovern is the music director.
Other members of the creative team include choreographer Wendy Seyb, Martin T. Lopez (sets, costumes and prop designer), Grant W. S. Yeager (lighting designer) and Starry Night Productions (general manger). Performances will be offered July 19 at 9 PM, July 20 at 1 PM, July 23 at 9 PM, July 27 at 9 PM and July 28 at 1 PM.
