Audra McDonald Will Go It Solo at Carnegie Hall in December

Five-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will return to Carnegie Hall during the famed New York venue's 2014-15 season.
McDonald will offer a solo concert in the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage Dec. 12 at 8 PM. The acclaimed singing actress will be joined by musical director Andy Einhorn.
Attendees can expect to hear show tunes, classic songs from movies, and pieces written for McDonald by leading contemporary composers.
In other Carnegie news, singer and songwriter Michael Feinstein will return to the Hall as artistic director of his three-concert Standard Time with Michael Feinstein series, exploring selections from the Great American Songbook alongside special guest artists. Performances are scheduled for Dec. 15, 2014, and Feb. 4 and March 25, 2015.

Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
