Benefit Performance of A Child Left Behind Will Be Presented July 16 Off-Broadway

Alan Aymie will offer a benefit performance of his one-man show, A Child Left Behind, July 16 at The New Theater at 45th Street.

The 8 PM performance will benefit GRASP (Global & Regional Asperger Syndrome Partnership).

A Child Left Behind is described as a "personal and humanizing look at the life of a teacher and father who has a child with Asperger’s, who works for the LA School District."

“My son likes numbers,” said Aymie in a statement. “In kindergarten, he was adding and subtracting in the millions place. At age five, he could do things with numbers, most of the 5th grade children I taught could never think about doing. This play is about all those children, the reasons why some get left behind and why test scores never tell the whole story.”

Kate Palmer and Jaz Dorsey produce the evening.

The New Theater at 45th Street is located at 354 West 45th Street. For tickets, priced $25, click here. For more information visit
