11 Jul 2014
Broadway Preludes will present Broadway Rising Stars, the annual revue giving recent graduates from the nation's leading performing arts schools a chance to showcase their talents on the Town Hall stage – featuring a guest appearance from Bill Irwin – July 14 at 8 PM.
Broadway Rising Stars will be directed by Scott Coulter and is created, hosted and written by Scott Siegel.
The one night only event will feature the brightest talent from AMDA, CAP 21, Circle in the Square, Juilliard, Marymount, The New School, NYU's Steinhardt and Tisch, Pace University and more.
Tony winner Irwin (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Fool Moon) will join the early career artists on the famous Town Hall Stage where, in a statement from Scott Siegel, "many great classical artists began their career."
Tickets range from $25-40 and are on sale at The Town Hall Box Office (123 W. 43rd Street) or at Ticketmaster.com.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
