The Book of Mormon, which was recently nominated for 14 Tony Awards, will present a free fan performance July 1 at 2 PM at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre.

The entire theatre will be offered to entrants of the Mormon lottery, giving fans a chance to win a free pair of tickets for the performance.

Because the ticket lottery has attracted 300-400 people per performance, the producers, cast and creative team have agreed to offer a free ninth performance for the fans who have been lining up to see the production.

"We’ve seen so many people lining up for the lottery night after night,” said co-creator Trey Parker in a statement. “For any fans who have been turned away, whether once or several times, we wanted to offer this free performance to give everyone a chance to see the show and to say thank you for your support of our work.”

"All lottery entries, whether win or lose, will count as one entry in the sweepstakes toward winning tickets for the free performance," according to the May 7 press release. "If you have multiple lottery entries, they will count multiple times toward winning free tickets for the performance. A Foursquare check-in through the quick response (QR) code in front of the theatre will also count toward an additional entry."

Winners will be selected on or around June 13. All winners will be notified approximately two weeks prior to the performance via email and will be asked to confirm their attendance. Detailed check-in information will be sent via email. Additional details will be available at www.bookofmormonbroadway.com and at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre.
