The event will be held at the Dicapo Theatre May 20 and May 23 at 8 PM. The May 23 performance will also include a company celebration and relaunch that highlights DreamCatcher Entertainment's projects of the past, present and a "sneak peek" into the future.
DreamCatcher Entertainment, an independent theatre and film company, will celebrate its fifth anniversary May 23. Since 2008 it has produced seven plays, a monthly play reading series, seven short films and anticipates the launch of its music department May 15.
Each October, DreamCatcher Entertainment hosts Terror Tales, a short play competition in which the winning playwright (by audience and guest judge vote) is commissioned for the next year to re-imagine a classic horror story and set it in modern-day New York. The DreamCatchers also work as a production and general management company. Previous productions include Twilight: the Musical, In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel and and Maria Torres Emerging Artists Foundation Holiday Show.
