Adrienne Warren, the young singing actress who is currently starring in Broadway's Bring It On: The Musical, has recorded the opening song for the upcoming Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The song, which is entitled "Kickin'," was penned by Emmy winners Bill Schermerhorn and Doug Katsaros.
"Adrienne has been wowing audiences with her amazing voice all summer long in the Broadway production of Bring It On, and it's going to be thrilling for us and millions of television viewers to hear her recording of 'Kickin'' as those energetic Texas State University Strutters dance on Thanksgiving morning for the NBC cameras. It's always fun capture the joy of Macy's Parade through song and to feature new and dynamic performances. We're excited to have Adrienne help us kick off the Parade with dazzling style and to share her talent with us," said Schermerhorn, director of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, in a statement.
The 86th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on NBC-TV on Nov. 22 from 9 AM-noon in all time zones.
