Broadway Barks 15 — the annual adopt-a-thon created and hosted by pals Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore to find homes for pets from city animal shelters — will be held July 13 from 3:30-6:30 PM in Shubert Alley.
Proceeds from the auction and other donations received during the day will benefit the participating shelters and rescue groups as well as the Picasso Veterinary Fund, which is administered by the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals and provides grants to shelters and rescue groups to cover extraordinary veterinary costs.
Presentation of pets from citywide shelters will begin at 5:30 PM.
Participating shelters and celebrities scheduled to lend a hand will be announced at a later date.
