Broadway Sessions Will Feature Reunion of Spamalot Cast Members
15 Oct 2013
Broadway Sessions, which is billed as an "evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week," will continue Oct. 17 at The Laurie Beechman Theater.
Created and hosted by Ben Cameron, the evening, which will feature musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano, will include a reunion of cast members from Broadway's Tony-winning musical Spamalot.
Audience members who arrive between 10-10:45 PM will have the opportunity to enter the “Wild Card” performance lottery, and if chosen will have the opportunity to perform in that evening's show and receive a professional HD video of their performance.
Doors open at 10 PM for the musical theatre open mic; show time is 11 PM.
The Laurie Beechman Theater is located inside The West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street (corner of 42nd street and 9th Avenue). For more information call (212) 695-6909. The five dollar cover includes a donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids. Visit www.BroadwaySessions.net.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
