Broadway Will Dim Its Lights In Memory of Tony Winner Lauren Bacall

The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed Aug. 15 at 7:45 PM for one minute in memory of the legendary stage and screen star Lauren Bacall, who died Aug. 12 at the age of 89.
"Lauren Bacall had a distinct presence on stage and screen during a career that spanned decades,” said Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of The Broadway League, in a statement. “Along with her talent and memorable performances, her timeless beauty and witty intelligence will be remembered. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and fans.”
Featuring the Broadway classics “To Life (L’Chaim!),” “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Sunrise Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and “Tradition,” Fiddler on the Roof will introduce a new generation to this uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!
