Broadway's God of Carnage Will Close Sooner Than Expected, on June 6
18 May 2010
God of Carnage, Broadway's Tony Award-winning Best Play, will close June 6, sooner than the earlier announced closing day of June 27. The comedy recently marked its 400th performance on Broadway at the Jacobs Theatre.
The producers stated on May 18, "In looking at business for late June, we realized June 6 is the right time to end this glorious run of Yasmina Reza's Tony winning play. We are incredibly proud and thrilled with the success of Yasmina's brilliant play, Matthew Warchus' superb direction, and the acting talents of our three amazing casts. God of Carnage has delighted thousands of audiences and we couldn’t be happier."
Featuring the Broadway classics “To Life (L’Chaim!),” “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Sunrise Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and “Tradition,” Fiddler on the Roof will introduce a new generation to this uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!
