Tom Wopat – best known for his role as Luke Duke on “The Dukes of Hazzard” – will play the title role of Will Rogers in the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival’s production of The Will Rogers Follies beginning Sept. 3.
The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival takes place at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse (Auburn, NY); their production of The Will Rogers Follies runs Sept. 3-24.
Here's how the musical is billed, "The Will Rogers Follies celebrates the life of famed humorist, performer and Oklahoma-native Will Rogers in this song and dance spectacular. Set within the famous Ziegfeld Follies, every scene and song in this musical comedy is a lavish production number allowing the audience to reminisce with one of America’s beloved folk heroes."
Wopat is an acclaimed television regular with appearances on "Blue Blood," "Medium," and the summer blockbuster of 2013, "Django Unchained," amongst many other credits. A Broadway veteran, Wopat was most recently seen on Broadway in The Trip To Bountiful and before that, Catch Me If You Can.

Deaf West’s production of SPRING AWAKENING floored the critics when it premiered in California, prompting the Los Angeles Times to write, "It's hard to enumerate all the ways in which Deaf West's SPRING AWAKENING is so very, very good." Now this unapologetically brilliant new production is coming to New York.
