The Lincoln Center Theater world premiere of Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Bruce Norris' Domesticated, starring Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Goldblum, begins performances Off-Broadway Oct. 10 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.

Directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro (August: Osage County), the production will officially open Nov. 4. Performances are scheduled through Jan. 5, 2014.

Two-time Tony nominee Metcalf (The Other Place, November) and Academy Award nominee Goldblum (Seminar, The Pillowman) lead a cast that also includes Vanessa Aspillaga, Mia Barron, Robin De Jesus, Lizbeth Mackay, Emily Meade, Mary Beth Peil, Karen Pittman, Aleque Reid and Misha Seo.

Norris’ new play, commissioned by Lincoln Center Theater, "dives into the conflagration of gender, power, sexuality and politics that emerges in a private relationship after a public humiliation. Metcalf and Goldblum play Judy and Bill Pulver whose marriage is thrust into the public eye by scandal. As told by Norris, their story is wickedly funny, deeply serious and anything but predictable."

The production has sets by Todd Rosenthal, costumes by Jennifer von Mayrhauser, lighting by James F. Ingalls and sound design by John Gromada.

Bruce Norris won the Tony Award, Pulitzer Prize for Drama as well as London’s Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for his play Clybourne Park.

Anna D. Shapiro directed Norris’ A Parallelogram, The Unmentionables, The Pain and the Itch, Purple Heart and The Infidel.
