Carmello & Bogardus Head Reprise's Bells Are Ringing Cast, May 12-23

1999 Tony nominee Carolee Carmello and High Society'sStephen Bogardus have been tapped by "Reprise! Broadway's Best in Concert" to star in the l956 musical Bells Are Ringing, to be performed May 12-23 (14 performances only) at the UCLA Freud Playhouse.
1999 Tony nominee Carolee Carmello and High Society's Stephen Bogardus have been tapped by "Reprise! Broadway's Best in Concert" to star in the l956 musical Bells Are Ringing, to be performed May 12-23 (14 performances only) at the UCLA Freud Playhouse.
Obie Award-winner Carmello (who replaces the previously announced Jean Smart) triumphed as the ill-fated Lucille Frank in the original Broadway company of the Harold Prince musical Parade at Lincoln Center. Carmello also performed with Bogardus in Falsettos on Broadway and in Los Angeles.
Bogardus, on Broadway in Love! Valour! Compassion!, has also been seen locally in City of Angels at the Shubert Theater.
Others in the cast include Brooks Almy, Gary Beach, David Engel, Joe Joyce, Larry Raben, Lisa Simms and Steve Vinovich.
The director is Don Amendolia, the choreographer Kevin Carlisle.
