Directed by Bruce Lumpkin, Hands on a Hardbody will run through June 22. The musical is presented as part of TUTS Underground, which centers on contemporary theatrical works.
Here's how it's billed: "For 10 hard-luck Texans, a new lease on life is so close they can touch it. Under a scorching sun for days on end, armed with nothing but hope, humor and ambition, they'll fight to keep at least one hand on a brand-new truck in order to win it. In the hilarious, hard-fought contest that is Hands on a Hardbody, only one winner can drive away with the American Dream."
Kooney will portray J.D. Drew, with Krohn as Heather, Starlin as Benny, Ryden as Greg, Anthony Boggess-Glover as Ronald, John Ryan Delbosque as Jesus, Tyce Green as Chris, Susan Koozin as Janis, Betty Marie Muessig as Kelli, Theresa Nelson as Virigina Drew, Michael Tapley as Mike, Brooke Wilson as Cindy and Brad Zimmerman as Don.
The creative team also includes choreographer Michelle Gaudette, musical director and conductor Jim Vukovich, lighting designer Christina Giannelli, sound designer Andrew Harper and assistant director Marley Wisnoski.
