Carl Andress (The Divine Sister, Die Mommie Die!, The Third Story) will stage the production that runs Jan. 21, 2014-March 16, 2014, at 59E59 Theaters. American Theatre Magazine first reported news of the title and dates of production.
Busch and longtime stage collaborator Julie Halston will co-star in the comedy.
According to Primary Stages, Busch will play "an out-of-work female impersonator who, when his elderly landlady dies in her sleep, takes on her identity in order to hang on to her valuable Greenwich Village townhouse. This 'perfect' scheme goes awry and leads to a wild path of twists and reversals plotted by an eccentric rogues gallery of outrageous schemers."
Halston is set to play a real-estate agent.
In 2011 Primary Stages presented the premiere of Busch's Olive and the Bitter Herbs. The company also produced his 1994 comedy You Should Be So Lucky.
