The world premiere of Unorganized Crime, written by Kenny D'Aquila and starring Tony Award recipient Chazz Palminteri, will begin performances April 26, prior to an official opening May 1, at the Elephant Theatre in Hollywood.

Directed by David Fofi, the play will feature Palminteri as Sal Sicuso, Jamie Sorrentini as Rosie Sicuso, Kenny D'Aquila as Gino Sicuso and Carmen Argenziano as Carmelo.

Performances will continue through May 25.

According to the production's official website, "Gino Sicuso is a diminishing Mafioso, a forgotten brother and son, banished to Detroit by his father Carmello Sicuso, the Capo dei Capi of the third largest crime family in New York. He's been relocated for his inability to follow orders (he can't commit murder), and hasn't had direct communication with any of his family members in years. His wife, Rosie Sicuso, has Gino on the road to redemption with the hope that he can mentally turn his life around. Having no such trouble with maiming, beating and killing, is Gino's older brother, Sal Sicuso, a brutal mobster who unexpectedly shows up at his door. What transpires is a gripping, thrilling, wildly humorous glimpse where the fine line between family, loyalty and betrayal is explored and where the sacred code of Omertà is shaken to the core."

Palminteri, who received a Special Tony Award in 1990, was Tony-nominated for Outstanding Solo Performance in 2008 for A Bronx Tale.

Other members of the creative team include set designer Joel Daavid, lighting designer Nicholas Davidson, general manager Nicki Genovese and sound designer and composer Peter Bryne. The show is produced by Palminteri and Josh Silver. Dave Finkelstein is executive producer.

The Elephant Theatre is located at 1076 N. Lillian Way (at Santa Monica Blvd., one block west of Vine) in Hollywood, CA. For tickets call (800) 595-4849 or visit Tix.com. For more information visit UnorganizedCrimeThePlay.com.
