30 Jun 2014
Lindsay Roginski makes her Broadway stage debut June 30 as merry murderess Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning revival of Chicago.
Roginski, who has played the role of Roxie Hart in recent national tours of the revival, performs through July 6 for a vacationing Bianca Marroquin. Marroquin returns to the role July 8.
In 2008 Roginski starred as Lola opposite Richard Kind in the Casa Mañana production of Damn Yankees. Her Off-Broadway credits include La Goulou in The Fartiste; and she was a featured performer in Heat Wave: The Jack Cole Project, directed and choreographed by Chet Walker, the creator of Fosse.
With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Revival, and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording. The revival, which now holds the record as the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler.
