Christina Sajous and Melanie Field Join Hands on a Hardbody's Corey Mach for July 1 Acoustic NYC Concert
01 Jul 2013
Corey Mach, whose Broadway credits include Hands on a Hardbody and Godspell, offers an acoustic concert July 1 at Flute Bar & Lounge in New York City.
At the 9 PM concert, Mach is joined by vocalists Christina Sajous (American Idiot, Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark) and Melanie Field (Evita, Wicked) as well as musicians Joshua Stephen Kartes, Rod Lawrence and Eli Zoller.
The evening promises an acoustic twist on covers of popular songs by artists such as Adele, LMFAO and Amy Winehouse and musical theatre classics, including works by Stephen Sondheim, John Bucchino and Jeff Blumenkrantz.
Mach has also been seen on tour with Wicked and Rent and is the producer of the Broadway Sings… concert series at (le) Poisson Rouge.
Flute Bar & Lounge is located at 40 E. 20th Street (between Broadway and S. Park Avenue). There is a $10 cover at the door.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
