"Betting Big on Broadway," which looks at the financial risks (and gains) of producing a Broadway show, premieres on CNBC Feb. 4 at 9 PM ET. Maria Bartiromo hosts.

The half-hour documentary spotlights the $75 million musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Host Bartiromo speaks with original director Julie Taymor and the show's lead producers, Jeremiah Harris and Michael Cohl.

Bartiromo also chats with Disney Theatricals' Thomas Schumacher and 38-year-old Jordan Roth, who runs Jujamcyn Theatres.

"Betting Big on Broadway" also follows the journey of Broadway producer Debbie Bisno as she raised over $2.5 million to bring the recent play Grace to Broadway.

An encore broadcast is scheduled for midnight.
