Composers Paul Williams and Rupert Holmes Will Headline Rockers On Broadway – Behind the Music in NYC

Academy Award-winning composer Paul Williams ("A Star Is Born") and Tony Award-winning composer Rupert Holmes (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) will headline Rockers On Broadway – Behind the Music, the latest edition of Broadway's rock 'n' roll concert series, Oct. 15 at the newly redesigned Cutting Room in NYC.

The 8 PM concert will feature songs written by pop and rock 'n' roll artists such as Elton John ( The Lion King), Pete Townshend ( The Who's Tommy), Duncan Sheik ( Spring Awakening) and Billy Joel ( Movin' Out). Headliners Williams and Holmes will also be the evening's lifetime achievement honorees. Behind the Music, honoring crossover songwriters who have written chart-topping hits as well as musicals for theatre, film and television, will also include a tribute to the late Marvin Hamlisch ( A Chorus Line).

Proceeds from the evening will benefit The ASCAP Foundation's Children Will Listen Program, The Broadway Dreams Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Rockers is presented by The Path Fund Inc.
