Concert Performances of 1776 Begin Tonight at 54 Below

54 Below celebrates the July 4th weekend with 54 Below Sings 1776, two evenings featuring music from the Tony Award-winning musical by Sherman Edwards, beginning July 3.

Performances at the Manhattan nightspot are scheduled for July 3 and 5 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM.

Directed by Lucia Spina and hosted by Rob Maitner with musical direction by Jacob Yates, the concerts star Michael McCormick, Ben Crawford, Daniel Marcus, Jacob Hoffman, David Alan Marshall, Patrick Mellen, Kathleen Monteleone, Aaron Ramey, Brian Charles Rooney, Adam Shapiro and Paul Michael Valley.

1776, according to press notes, "brings to life the trials and tribulations of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and the Continental Congress as they set upon creating a new nation."
