Newsies star Corey Cott and "Smash" actress Krysta Rodriguez are among the performers set for Once Upon a Time in New York City 2, a Feb. 3 benefit concert featuring new material from both established and emerging songwriters celebrating New York City.

After a sold-out first edition in October 2012, the series will return to Joe's Pub and feature 15 world-premiere songs.

For the 7 PM concert, which benefits The Red Cross, musical theatre writers — ages 19-90, who were born everywhere from Kansas City to San Francisco to Montreal — will write a song about someone who changed their idea of New York City.

Scheduled to perform are David Austin, Jenni Barber (The Performers), Jeff Blumenkrantz, Andrea Burns (In the Heights), Cott (Newsies), Maribeth Graham, Emma Hunton (Spring Awakening), Megan Kane, Eric Michael Krop (Godspell), Eric William Morris (Mamma Mia!), Alexander Sage Oyen, Nadia Quinn (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Rodriguez ("Smash"), Dana Rowe and Jessica Vosk, among others.

Contributing writers include David Austin, Burt Bacharach and Steven Sater, Anna Ty Bergman and Alexander Sage Oyen, Nick Blaemire, Jeff Blumenkrantz, Joe Church, Michael Finke, Francesca Garrard, Amanda Green, Maribeth Graham and Dana Rowe, Doug Katsaros and Amanda Yesnowitz, Mike Pettry, Sam Salmond, and Georgia Stitt.

The concert is created by Caleb Hoyer and Jennifer Ashley Tepper, creators of the If It Only Even Runs A Minute series.

Joe's Pub is located at 425 Lafayette Street. There is a $12 food/drink minimum. For more information and tickets, visit JoesPub.com
