CSC's Tribute to Walter Bobbie Will Feature Nina Arianda, Hugh Dancy, Norm Lewis, Lorna Luft, Bebe Neuwirth

Classic Stage Company will honor Tony Award-winning director and CSC veteran Walter Bobbie at its Annual Benefit Gala May 21 at Bridgewaters at South Street Seaport.

The evening will feature special performances and/or appearances by Nina Arianda, Hugh Dancy, Jenn Gambatese, Norm Lewis, Hamish Linklater, Lorna Luft and Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth.

Bobbie has directed three acclaimed productions at CSC in recent seasons: New Jerusalem, Venus in Fur (currently on Broadway) and The School for Lies, all written by his longtime collaborator David Ives.  Bobbie won the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics awards for his direction of the long-running hit musical Chicago.

The gala will begin at 6:45 PM with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner at 8 PM, a live auction and the entertainment.

Classic Stage Company is under the leadership of artistic director Brian Kulick and executive director Greg Reiner.
