David Hyde Pierce, David Schwimmer, Michael Shannon, Bernard Telsey Will Take Part in 2012 Drama League Lineup

Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce, David Schwimmer, Michael Shannon and casting director Bernard Telsey will take part in The Drama League's 2012 fall/winter programming schedule, which includes special performances, events, educational offerings and more.

"As we begin construction on our new home in Tribeca, The Drama League Theater Center, our programming for audiences is already expanding," said Gabriel Shanks, Drama League executive director, in a statement. "We are excited to welcome all of the New York theatre community into our panels, discussions, rehearsals and readings."

An Evening with David Schwimmer and director Anne Kaufmann will be offered Sept. 24 at 7 PM.
Schwimmer, who is best known for playing Ross on the television sitcom "Friends," stars in Detroit at Playwrights Horizons, helmed by Drama League Directors Project alumna Kauffman (Slowgirl). Schwimmer, also a director and a founding member of Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre Company, has appeared on Broadway in The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial.

Following the evening with Schwimmer will be An Evening with Michael Shannon and director Dexter Bullard
 Sept. 27 at 5:30 PM. 
Academy Award nominee Shannon ("Revolutionary Road") and Drama League Directors Project alum Bullard (Bug) will discuss Craig Wright's new Broadway play Grace, which is directed by Bullard and stars Shannon, Paul Rudd ("Knocked Up") and Ed Asner ("The Mary Tyler Moore Show"). Shannon, who has been seen on the New York, London and Chicago stages, is best known for his role on HBO's "Boardwalk Empire."

An Evening with David Hyde Pierce
 will be held Nov. 19 at 7 PM. 
Hyde Pierce, an Emmy Award winner for his work on the television series "Frasier," won a Tony Award for his performance in Curtains and has also been seen on Broadway in Spamalot, Accent on Youth and Beyond Therapy, among others.



Telsey, who heads Telsey + Company, will offer An Evening with Casting Director Bernard Telsey
 Oct. 22 at 7 PM.
 He is also co-founding artistic director of MCC Theater and the New York vice president of the Casting Society of America. Telsey's recent Broadway credits include Annie, Evita, Legally Blonde and Gore Vidal's The Best Man. According to press notes,  "He'll share his experience and his process of matching the perfect actor to the perfect role."

These selected series events will take place at The Drama League's current home at 520 8th Avenue, 3rd floor. Admission is free to Drama League members and $25 for non-members.

As previously announced, The Drama League will open The Drama League Theater Center in the heart of TriBeCa's arts district in late 2012.
