Nominees for the 35th annual San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle
Awards, representing local theatrical excellence in 2010, were announced Feb. 28. The ceremony will be held 7:30 PM April 4.

Awards will be given in the categories of Touring, Under 99-Seat Theatres (Drama and Musical), 100-300-Seat Theatres (Drama and Musical) and Over 300-Seat Theatres (Drama and Musical).

Nominees in production categories are listed below. For complete list of nominees, click here.  Some of the better known nominees in all categories include director Oskar Eustis (Compulsion), playwrights Jason Grote and Tarell Alvin McCraney (The Brother/Sister Plays), actor-director Bill Irwin (Scapin) performers Mandy Patinkin and Hannah Cabell (Compulsion) and Seana McKenna (Phedre), plus local favorites Rene Augesen, Marco Barricelli, Charles Dean, Danny Scheie, Les Waters and Carey Perloff, among others.
