Tony nominee Ethan Hawke will co-star with Emmy nominee January Jones in the film "Good Kill," according to Deadline.com.
Directed by Andrew Niccol, "Good Kill" will feature Hawke as a fighter pilot, with Jones playing his wife. The cast also includes Zoe Kravitz ("Divergent," "Californication") and Jake Abel ("The Host," "The Lovely Bones") as members of his flight crew and Bruce Greenwood ("Star Trek Into Darkness," "Endless Love") as his superior officer.
The film follows Hake's character struggling with the stress of battling the enemy by drone and his familial drama. He begins to question the purpose of his mission.
"Good Kill" marks a reunion for Hawke and Niccol, who worked together on the films "Gattaca" and "Lord of War."
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
