Finalists Named for NBC's "The Voice"; Rent's Frenchie Davis Will Not Advance to Finale

Former Rent star Frenchie Davis will not advance to the finals of the new NBC singing reality program "The Voice"; Davis lost America's vote by a narrow margin, which was revealed on the June 22 broadcast of the new series.

It will be Beverly McClellan, also of "Team Christina," who will be among the four singers battling it out in the June 28 finals. McClellan, who received 107 points versus Davis' 93 points, will compete against Vicci Martinez, Javier Colon and Dia Frampton.

The live finals of "The Voice" will air at 9 PM ET June 28; check local listings.

A finalist on the second season of "Idol," Davis has starred on Broadway in Rent and in tours of Dreamgirls; Sing, Mahalia, Sing; and Ain't Misbehavin'. She also played the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella at Berkeley Playhouse.
