News   First Look! See Megan Hilty and Andy Karl in Annie Get Your Gun at City Center

Chuck Cooper, Andy Karl, Judy Kaye, Ron Raines and Brad Oscar join "Smash" star Megan Hilty in New York City Center's concert performance of the Irving Berlin classic Annie Get Your Gun, which is presented Oct. 27-28. Here's a first look!

Hilty plays sharpshooter Annie Oakley, the role originated on Broadway by Ethel Merman. Directed by Tony Award winner John Rando, the concerts feature The Encores! Orchestra led by Encores! music director Rob Berman.

Hilty earned acclaim for headlining the 2012 Encores! production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She was the star of the one-night-only Broadway concert of the fictional "Smash" musical Bombshell, recreating a role she played in the "Smash" TV series. Her stage appearances also include Wicked and 9 to 5. On screen, she's appeared in "Sean Saves the World" and the upcoming "Untitled Warren Beatty Project," scheduled for release in 2016.

Karl plays leading man Frank Butler, with Cooper as Pawnee Bill, Kaye as Dolly Tate, Oscar as Charlie and Raines as Buffalo Bill.

Annie Get Your Gun has music and lyrics by Berlin and a book by Herbert and Dorothy Fields. The musical is loosely based on the story of sharpshooter Annie Oakley and her tempestuous romance with gunslinger Frank Butler. The score includes "You Can't Get a Man With a Gun," "There's No Business Like Show Business," "I Got Lost in His Arms" and "Anything You Can Do." The original production starred Merman as Annie Oakley.

The concert's ensemble includes Ward Billeisen, Sam Bolen, Laura D'Andre, Nicolas Dávila, Christine DiGiallonardo, Leah Horowitz, Miles Johnson, Andrea Jones-Sojola, Amy Justman, Patricia Noonan, Daniel Schwait and Nicholas Ward.

The Oct. 27 gala begins with a 5:30 PM cocktail reception, followed by the 6:30 PM performance. A post-show dinner will be held in the Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel. Benefit tickets range $5,000-$25,000. To buy these tickets, call (212) 763-1205. For additional information and show-only tickets (starting at $35), visit NYCityCenter.org.
