For The Love of Love: A Benefit Concert, which raises money for the weddings of three couples in the theatre community, is held at 54 Below June 9 at 11:30 PM.
ReBar, a wedding venue in Brooklyn, shut down May 9, leaving couples without plans for their upcoming weddings. Jen Waldman Studio and special guests present a concert to boost their recovery Indiegogo campaign.
The benefit's proceeds will go to the following three couples: Billy Bustamante (Here Lies Love) and Peyton Royal (Billy Elliot, North American tour; How the Grinch Stole Christmas); Maggie McNeil (Oklahoma!, Reagle Music Theatre) and Alex Berman; and Tara Siesener (Hairspray, Saturday Night Fever) and Rockwood Music Hall sound engineer Gordon Heal.
The evening features Broadway performers include Emily Ferranti (Wicked), Jed Resnick (Avenue Q, Rent), Jerome Bell ("American Idol") and Julian Velard as well as Jen Waldman Studio professionals Sam Beasley, Jen Eden, Joshua Hinck, Kara Howard, Annalise Jensen, Charlie Levy, Erin Maya, Nicole Riding, Eric Shorey, Cynthia V. Whitman, Corbitt Williams and Erin Williams. Billy Bustamante, Maggie McNeil and Tara Siesener are also featured.
Alexander Rovang plays and provides music direction.
