Frank Langella Joins Zooey Deschanel and Ciaran Hinds in "The Driftless Area"

Award-winning actor Frank Langella has joined in the cast of the romantic film "The Driftless Area," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film, which is adapted from from Tom Drury's novel of the same name, also features Anton Yelchin ("Star Trek Into Darkness," "Like Crazy"), Zooey Deschanel ("New Girl," "(500) Days of Summer"), John Hawkes ("Lincoln," "The Sessions"), Ciaran Hinds (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Seafarer) and Alia Shawkat ("The To Do List," "Arrested Development") in the cast.
"The Driftless Area" centers on a romance between a bartender and a mysterious woman. Their relationship is threatened after the bartender becomes involved with a dangerous criminal.
The screenplay is by Drury and Zachary Sluser. Sluser also directs the film.
Langella is a three-time Tony Award winner for Seascape, Fortune's Fool and Frost/Nixon. He has also performed onstage in Dracula, Match and Man and Boy. The Academy Award nominee's film credits include "Frost Nixon;" "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps;" "Good Night, and Good Luck;" and "Diary of a Mad Housewife."
