The series premiere of "Freestyle Love Supreme," featuring the improv troupe of the same name, will air on Pivot TV Oct. 17.

The group, which comprises Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), Utkarsh Ambudkar, Anthony Veneziale, Chris Sullivan, Bill Sherman, Chris Jackson and Arthur Lewis, uses rap to spin audience suggestions into fully realized musical numbers.

Here's how the series is billed: "'Freestyle Love Supreme' is an improvised musical comedy show created by the rap group of the same name. The series mixes fully improvised stage shows with impromptu, real world sketches set in NYC to create a unique comedy with no script."

The show is created by Thomas Kail and Anthony Veneziale.
