Full Cast Announced for Return of Titus Andronicus to Shakespeare's Globe

The full cast has been announced for the return of Lucy Bailey's 2006 production of Titus Andronicus to Shakespeare's Globe, beginning performances April 24 prior to an official opening May 1, for a run in rep through July 13.



The production will feature William Houston as Titus and Indira Varma as Tamora. Houston's long career with the RSC has included title roles in Coriolanus, Ben Jonson’s Sejanus, Troilus and Cressida and Henry V, for which he was nominated for an Evening Standard Award for Best Actor. He played Pentheus/Agave in Sir Peter Hall's Bacchai at the National.

Varma was seen most recently onstage in Jamie Lloyd's production of The Hothouse at Trafalgar Studios. TV credits include major parts in "Luther," "Silk" and "Rome," and she appears on screens in the new series of "Game of Thrones" in early April.

Also in the cast are Obi Abili as Aaron, Natthew Needham as Saturninus, Ian Gelder as Marcus, with Steffan Donnelly, Dyfan Dwyfor, Samuel Edward-Cook, Paul Ham, Nicholas Karimi, Jake Mann, Brian Martin, Bryonie Pritchard, David Shaw-Parker, Flora Spencer-Longhurst and Jamie Wilkes.
